2022 Spring Knit-A-Long!

2022 Spring Knit-A-Long!

Spring is here, we've just wrapped up our Winter KAL, so it's time to kick off the Spring KAL! We'll be knitting summer tops out of fingering weight yarn, using one of two patterns.

The first pattern is Summer Sorrel, by Wool & Pine. This tee features an interesting ray design radiating out from the neckline. The body of the tee is knit in stockinette, so once you have knit the yoke detail and separated for the sleeves it's onward with rounds of easy knitting! One detail to mention is that the neck opening gets pretty large as the size of the top increases. I knit the 46" size, the neckline is wider than I would like. If you think you want a smaller neckline I suggest casting on for a smaller size, and then increasing to the correct number of stitches for your size yoke.

The second pattern, Recalibrate, is constructed in a really interesting, modular way. While the entire piece is knit in garter stitch, the construction makes it a fun, not-boring knit! I wholeheartedly suggest that you visit the Ravelry page for this pattern, to see how other people have used colors and sizing to really make this a one-of-a-kind piece just for them. It's very inspirational!

There will be a Zoom evening with Shana Cohen, the designer of Recalibrate, on March 22, 6-8pm (central time). There's no purchase required to join the Zoom, so join us to find out more! Here's the Zoom link:
