Upcoming Class Schedule

  • Birds of a Feather Shawl KAL:
    • I've got some new yarn coming that is just the perfect thing for this project! You'll have to stay tuned to see what I have in mind...  In the meantime, take a gander at the pattern, Birds of a Feather. This is a large asymmetrical shawl that combines garter stitch, lace patterns, smooth fingering weight yarn and fuzzy mohair yarn. We'll all have beautiful colorful wraps for the spring!
    • The project calls for two skeins of fingering weight yarn and 460 yards of a lace weight mohair yarn, and size #6 needles.
    • Classes are February 16 or 17, February 27 or March 2, March 20 or 24. You may choose either Friday or Saturday classes, one class each week that the classes are offered.
  • Striped Chevrons Cowl:
    • I've adapted a cowl pattern to make a smaller, more manageable version that requires only one skein of yarn. This is a great project for beginners who want to branch out into knitting something a little more challenging (just because you are using increases and decreases to develop the chevron shapes in the cowl, and using stitch markers to keep track of the pattern repeats).
    • This project uses one skein of worsted weight yarn. My version uses one skein of Uneek Worsted, a 100% superwash merino self striping yarn, it looks great with this project! And you will need  a 16" circular in size 7 or 8.
    • Classes are April 13 or 14, and 27 or 28, 1-3pm. You may choose either Friday or Saturday classes, one class each week that the classes are offered.
  • Felting with Marie - Felted Flowers or Bunnies:
    • April 21, 1-3pm: Join Marie at the shop and learn to make needle-felted flowers or bunnies!  Class fee is $42, plus supplies. You will need felting needles, a felting pad, and various colors of feltable wool roving.
  • Shooting Star Shawl:
    • This shawl is so cool! I love this designer's patterns, and this looks like a great one to do as a class.  Knit in a combination of gradients, self-striping or solid yarns, the options seem endless!
    • Classes are May 5 or 11, and 19 or 25, 1-3pm. You may choose either Friday or Saturday classes, one class each week that the classes are offered.
  • Felting with Marie - Felted Birdhouse:
    • May 12, noon-4pm Next in the series of felting classes, this project incorporates both wet and needle felting. You'll make your one-of-a kind birdhouse in an afternoon at the shop. We are hoping to hold this class outside, under a tent, so we won't have to worry about messiness! Make one for your mom, or send her to the class for Mother's Day! Class fee is $72, and will include materials.
